APPO 4th Annual Pig Roast
Thank you to all those who attended the APPO 4th Annual Pig roast on Sunday August 26, 2012. This yearly event was well attended and we enjoyed meeting new faces and seeing old friends.
The lechon specially made by Dr. Tom Madrilejos and his crew was delicious. Tom was there bright and early at 8 am to start roasting the pig. He deserves a special thank you for providing one of the most popular Filipino dishes.
Many of the attendees brought desserts, entrees and beer which was enjoyed by all. We especially enjoyed the pancit, lumpia egg rolls and bibingka!
Of course, the main event was the activities for the kids. We had body art provided by Ana Madamba and the classic picnic games: water balloon toss, piAata and pin the tail on the donkey and pin the nose on the clown. The kids (and adults) were pretty tired out by the end.
A special thank you to those who helped set up: Zeny Jandi, Helly Bautista, Jorge Jandi, Fely Bangayan, Romy Tolentino and Ana Madamba and in addition to those who helped clean up: Phil Bautista, Jocelyn Butler, Salve Agliam, The Enriques. I apologize if I missed anyone.
